Title Research: Parasite

The opening sequence for this movie was found on artofthetitle.com. In the opening sequence of the film Parasite, there are many titles shown. About 12 titles are displayed in total. Each of the titles display the name of the actors, the production company and everyone that participated in the production of the movie. The images that are prioritized are the dirty windows and the socks that are hanging. In the sequence, the camera tilts down, onto one of the main character's as he is attempting to connect to the Wi-Fi, somewhat desperately or hurriedly. This is one of the only instances of connotations in the sequence. The outset is a little hard to understand, as the audience. Moreover, you question why we the audience are seeing a dirty window and walls, along with socks hanging, or why the main character is desperately attempting to connect to the Wi-Fi. I don't believe any extraordinary techniques were used to hook the audience through the opening sequence. Technology was effectively used throughout the sequence, through the usage of diverse camera angles editing techniques, and transitions. An example was a tilt shot used when the camera began to slide down towards the main character.
