The world of film thrives on diverse cinematic techniques, each painting emotions onto the silver screen with a distinct brushstroke. Comedy, playful and lighthearted, uses playful camerawork – zooming in on a goofy grin, tilting down on a pratfall – to introduce us to characters who revel in the absurd. Costumes might explode in Day-Glo colors, soundtracks erupt in slapstick bursts, and scenes hop-scotch across landscapes faster than a clown on a pogo stick. It's a joyous whirlwind, leaving us chuckling at life's silly stumbles. Suspense, on the other hand, tightens the screws, pulling us into a web of anticipation. Sweeping panoramas reveal vast, lurking shadows, while slow, deliberate pans dissect every twitch of a character's expression. These are often ordinary folk, thrust into extraordinary circumstances, their calm facades hinting at hidden anxieties. The soundtrack becomes a symphony of unease, a crescendo of ticking clocks and ominous whispers, leaving us glued to

Pitch 1: A teenager receives a phone call from a mysterious voice that ends up being a person with a mask trying to kill them and the teen has a chance to take off the person's mask, which ends up being their friend.  Pitch 2: A teen leaves their job but gets a message from an unknown number, which is a photo of them. The teen then runs to their car as this number is continually sending photos of them. They get in their car and gets killed. However, they wake up thinking it was just a dream but someone is in the car and kills them.  Pitch 1: This idea can be done because some of the scenes have already been planned, and there's a semi-clear idea to it of how to do everything. Making this film would be interesting, fun, and a learning process. The only reason this film couldn't be made would be because of trying to find the right costumes and make-up.  Pitch 2: This film can most definitely be made, when pertaining to filming and acting. However, finding the right setting m

This year the group that I will work with consists of 3 people. Firstly, Corvelest Walker, a classmate and friend of mine. Secondly, Teo Balsamo, another classmate and friend. Corvelest, nicknamed Corey, I met my freshman year of high school. At first, I thought Corey was a weird individual. But then as time went on, I realized his potential. That he is a bright, intelligent and creative person. This year is the 3rd time I have class with him. I have worked with him in a group before for other projects. His work ethic is excellent and consistent which is why I am working with him. Teo, I also met my freshman year, when I had one class with him. Though I did not have class with him my sophomore year of high school, I still remained in contact. Thankfully we have a class together this year, and we have gotten tighter because of it. He is a very smart person, some would call him nerdy. This is reflective through his class rank, which happens to be 11 out of 500. As well, as his performan

Hola everyone, I'm David Vidal and I am back for A-level media studies, and I am excited. However, I am not your average bookworm. I enjoy doing sports in school, during after school hours. I love the feeling of sweat dripping from my brow as I push myself to the limit each day. The camaraderie, the feeling of victory, a sense of accomplishment is addictive and something you can't experience in a library. When I'm not pushing the limits in sports or in school, my passion for teamwork and hard work doesn't stop, if anything branches out into other areas of my life. As I am involved with clubs at school that are involved with different fun tasks such as cleaning up the schools or the local neighborhoods and communities. Even outside the confines of school, I strive to be an active member of the community. Serving it every chance I get, whether it be serving food at the homeless shelter or doing fun kids events at my local church. Regarding this course t hough I have alrea
