Me and my group are doing a commercial on Beats headphones. In these commercials, the viewers typically see celebrities, athletes, or artists partaking in their daily activities. Whether it be sports, making music, or doing a certain activity, they all utilize Beats headphones into their daily life. Furthermore, many of these commercials that feature athletes, show athletes reaching their goal or accomplishing a task with the aid of Beats.

  • Many Beats commercials demonstrate ethos, features of an array of celebrities, from star athletes to Grammy winning musicians, to social media influencers such as: Lebron James, Kylie Jenner, Michael Phelps, Lil Wayne, and Kim Kardashian. By doing this, it creates and urge for the viewer to use the same products as some of their idols.

  • Athletes that are featured in the commercials, aside from using the Beats headphones, they all wear athletic apparel. That includes, shorts, loose t-shirts, sports bras, running shoes, etc.

  • Musicians and artists, all wear stylish and trending clothing.

  • The scores throughout the commercials are normally mid-paced but can change to align with the intensity or speed of the activity being doing by whoever is featured. The scores typically have a happy and hopeful score.
  • Beats commercials are known for its variety of film settings. Many commercials have been shot in gyms, basketball courts, football or soccer fields, skate parks, urban city locations, even workspaces such as offices. By doing this, the viewer sees that the product can be used for any situation, whether it be while relaxing or working out.

  • Props include Beats products, in this case Beats headphones.

  • These commercials, normally include high, low angles and eye level shots. They also include wide shots, one establishing and medium shot, diagonal close-ups, and about 1-2 extreme close-ups, that focus on the product.
  • These commercials also show editing techniques such as inserts and split screens

  • Conventions and Codes in Beats commercials include, the specific model of the product being advertised, the color, or sometimes colors of the product. As well as some of its features and why it's superior to the leading brand.
