Intro Blog: Back Again

Hola everyone, I'm David Vidal and I am back for A-level media studies, and I am excited. However, I am not your average bookworm. I enjoy doing sports in school, during after school hours. I love the feeling of sweat dripping from my brow as I push myself to the limit each day. The camaraderie, the feeling of victory, a sense of accomplishment is addictive and something you can't experience in a library. When I'm not pushing the limits in sports or in school, my passion for teamwork and hard work doesn't stop, if anything branches out into other areas of my life. As I am involved with clubs at school that are involved with different fun tasks such as cleaning up the schools or the local neighborhoods and communities. Even outside the confines of school, I strive to be an active member of the community. Serving it every chance I get, whether it be serving food at the homeless shelter or doing fun kids events at my local church. Regarding this course though I have already been equipped with doing certain tasks in class, I do not feel nervous or anxious. If anything, I'm excited particularly for the new obstacles and challenges I face throughout this curriculum. My optimism and willingness are qualities that will serve me well through this journey. One thing I'm especially looking forward to is the feeling of holding a camera again. Getting the different shots and filming the different angles brings me to a point of ecstatic happiness. It makes me feel like static energy is electrically flowing through my veins. The possibilities are endless. So are the opportunities for creativity which I cannot wait to explore to the fullest depths. A little about me, I am Brazilian-American. Meaning that I was born in the United States to Brazilian parents. I am proud of my Brazilian heritage, and I strive to succeed in every metric of human endeavor. Whether it may be in school or in the community, I always put in that 110% of effort.
