Production Blog: Props Part 2
Today after more discussion, the next set of props that will be used has been decided. For one of the scenes where I will get "run over", certain physical props will be used to mimic blood. Everyday household items such as ketchup, red paint, and hot sauce will be used to imitate blood. The red paint will be lightly splattered all over my face as well as ketchup. The hot sauce will be used to tone the fake blood to make the color seem more realistic. Sensitive areas such as my eyes will be avoided will squirting hot sauce on me, because it would be unpleasant if it were to end up in my eyes. Another prop not mentioned that will be used to clean up is Clorox wipes and paper towels. Although it will not be used for filming, it will help me clean-up after that particular scene. So that I may be clean throughout the rest of the filming. Moreover, a fake, yet realistic knife will be used for one of the scenes. More specifically, the scene where I get run over by Corey. Where he then proceeds to and check on me to make sure I'm alright. I will then proceed to pull out a "knife" in an attempt to stab Corey. This may seem insignificant to few, but will be crucial in executing that scene. Also, the clothing that I will be using as the antagonist character has been decided. I will wear typical clothing that a typical person would wear. However, the color of my clothing will be slightly darker than that of the protagonist characters. This will happen to convey a more scarier and frightening mood into the audience. For example, if Corey or Chelsey is wearing bright color like white or baby blue. I will be wearing darker, colors such as brown or black.
